YOW* can help you make your idea a reality. Drawing on broad experience in audio and video programming, networked applications, MIDI control, surround sound, electronic sensors, the demands of live performance, and interface design, YOW* is open for collaboration with digital artists with more ideas than systems design ability. This section highlights many of the interesting projects that have been realized with the help of YOW*.

Realtime warping - digital "funhouse" mirror.
Camera provides simple input for a complex interaction.
Collaborating with video artist Robert Drummond, YOW* created a reactive environment as part of Drummond's Emotion Anamorphic exhibit. Using a camera as souce, it used the input to sense proximity and provide material for image manipulation. In an exhibit that explored the projection of images on unusual shapes and geometries, the collaboration between Drummond and YOW* provided a means for the audience to become involved and a part of the installations.

Seven Channel Audio Installation
...controlled by an infrared sensor.
Assisting installation artist Glen Sparer, YOW* developed a surround sound control that reacted to the input of an infrared proximity sensor. Depending on the distance of a viewer's face from a metal-cast mask, the software directed the sound to individual speakers, with some randomness adding a variety of sound file mixes and sound trajectory scenarios.

Recombinant Media Labs
Multi-screen video, synchronized to 12-channel surround sound.
For the 9 hour concert on 9.9.99 at Ars Electronica in Linz, Austria. YOW* developed a four-channel video playback system that syncronized to a multi-track DA-88 for an immersive multimedia environment. The system was eventually expanded to a 10 channel video sampler controlled centrally on an ethernet network.
